About the Adjunct
The Snooker Adjunct holds its Club Night on a Wednesday evening from 7.00pm - 11.00pm (depending on the number of players in attendance) and the 2010 season will commence on 10 February and run till 17th November (to allow time for trophies to be engraved for presentation). Subscriptions are $20.00 per year and the nightly fees are $5.00. Everyone is guaranteed to play a minimum of 4 games per night (however if you only wish to play 2, this is quite acceptable provided the Club Captain is advised at the beginning of the night, before the draw is done) at a cost of $3.00.
Everyone is given a handicap, depending on his or her ability, and this handicap is reviewed every month and adjusted accordingly if warranted. Points are awarded for each frame played and won and these accumulate over the season, and the person with the highest number of points at the end of the season is presented with a trophy at the Christmas Social.
Players are also graded (A, B or C) and the winner of each grade received a trophy (again presented at the Christmas Social).
Over the last few years, the Adjunct has entered teams in Team Snooker, also known as Monday Night League, (a weekly interclub competition between clubs in the Wellington region) and this normally commences the week after Easter and runs through till September/October.
Coaching is available if required.
